2023 Hyundai Palisade
The 2023 Hyundai Palisade features more than enough comfortable space for eight occupants and cargo, plenty of state-of-the-art standard and optional technology features, a robust engine with smooth driving capabilities, and much more. This large gas-powered SUV is arguably the best we’ve seen in this segment, and it has been giving competitors a run for their money since it was first introduced in 2020.
In 2023, Hyundai’s pride and joy comes to us with some external tweaks in the front, giving the SUV a more masculine appearance, minor revisions in standard key features, and an upgraded instrument panel. In addition, the top-level Ultimate Calligraphy trim is decked out with all the opulent interior features that a lover of high-luxury SUV brands will appreciate.
Trims and Pricing
The 2023 Palisade is available in four trims: the Essential ($44,204 starting price), Preferred ($49,204), Luxury ($53,404), and the Ultimate Calligraphy ($57,704).
Engine and Performance
All models come equipped with an eight-speed automatic Atkinson 3.8-litre V6 engine that can produce a maximum horsepower of 291 and 262 pound-feet of torque with 87 octane fuel. All models have standard front-wheel drive; you can also upgrade to an all-wheel drive. You can expect to get an estimated 12.6L/100km driving in the city, 9.5L/100km driving on the highway, and 11.2L/100km combined. All trims have multi-terrain control modes as a standard feature.
Exterior
The grille on the 2023 Palisade has been modified to appear more masculine. All components in the front, including the daylights, headlight clusters, and headlights, have been smoothed out to create a better flow into the bumper and grille. The Essential has standard 45.72cm aluminium wheels, and the upper trims come standard with 50.8cm machine-finished aluminium wheels. The Ultimate Calligraphy is fitted with Calligraphy exclusive aluminium alloy wheels.
Interior, Safety, and Technology
All trims can seat eight adults and hold 2,447 litres of cargo comfortably. Standard features include wireless phone capabilities, Bluetooth, seven USB ports, four 12-volt outlets, a rear-view camera, Hyundai SmartSense, heated front seats, and a heated steering wheel.
Standard safety technology in the Palisade is also bountiful. All models have adaptive cruise control, a tire pressure monitoring system, a forward collision-avoidance system, a lane-keeping assist system, and a driver attention warning system. The SUV also features a rear-parking warning assist system.
The Ultimate Calligraphy trim comes standard with a massive array of technology and luxury features, including an upgraded 360-degree camera and driver display, a cabin intercom, heated seats in the second row, a 12-speaker premium sound system, ventilated seats in the front and second row, a 115-volt outlet, more USB ports in the last row, and sunshades in the rear.
